The Department of Aeronautical Engineering was started in the year 2011. The department offers 4-year undergraduate programme, B.E. in Aeronautical Engineering. The department has a team of highly qualified, dedicated and motivated faculty and well-equipped laboratories covering core areas like Aero-Design, Aircraft Structures, Propulsion, Aerodynamics , Avionics, Aircraft systems and Instrumentation , Airframe and Engine maintenance ,UAV and Systems to mould the students with broad skill set in the research, design, development, implementation and operation of aircraft, aero vehicles and related engineering systems.

The department prepares the graduates to undertake design, research and maintenance activities as their careers in aeronautical and aerospace engineering. Department prepares technocrats to be competitive and best in class to join in the global industry.
